Luthier made Flamenco Guitar in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania

An excellent luthier made flamenco blanca from 2011. It was made by the talented Dirk Janssen, who apprenticed with the famous German master luthier specializing in classical guitars, Reinhold Seiffert. The sound is amazing, with ringing trebles and strong but controlled basses. It has rich overtones but not too much reverb. The guitar is very easy to play and the set up is true flamenco. It weighs even less than my blanca from one of the most famous custom guitar makers in Granada. The top is German Spruce, the sides and back Spanish Cypress, ebony fingerboard, Hauser tuners. Dimensions are as follows (I took them carefully with home tools, as accurate as I could get):Scale length: 650mmNeck thickness: 22mm D-shapeNut width: 52mmString width at nut: 44mmString width at bridge: 59mmString height at 12th fret: 2.9mmString height at bridge: 9mm with room to lowerThe guitar is in excellent condition. During transportation from Europe it developed a hairline crack along the grain starting at the bottom of the bridge. It was repaired by the respected string instrument maker Mark Bluett and has been stable ever since. I have included two photographs showing the hairline crack (I didn't ask Bluett to redo the French Polish otherwise it would be invisible). Comes with a hard case.A great deal on a high quality wood luthier made guitar!Shipping charge in the continental US is $75.
